We can see that “scan now” is currently blanked out so we expect to see that in future versions. Settings are also very simple at this point with the Real-time scanning and Access protection being your only 2 choices at this time. We assumed, and it turned out to be true, that this was McAfee Site Advisor, something we have found inconsistent especially after McAfee had MajorGeeks blocked at one time for no reason at all taking months to resolve. Installation takes only a few minutes, including the full download and does offer to install “web advisor”.
McAfee has made a smart move by bringing a free, light version of their anti-virus to the market at a time where most of the competition has done so for years.
